Dehydrated Potato Flakes

Drum-dried potato flakes from Poland — a versatile, shelf-stable potato ingredient for instant mash, snack manufacturing, formed potato products, bakery and prepared-meal lines across Asia-Pacific. Supplied in food-industry-standard pack formats with container-load logistics.

Product

What it is.

Dehydrated potato flakes are produced by cooking, mashing and drum-drying fresh potatoes into thin sheets, which are then milled and sized into flakes or granules. The result is a shelf-stable, single-ingredient powder that reconstitutes with hot water or milk in seconds, retaining the flavour and texture of cooked potato.

Polish potato flakes benefit from short-supply-chain access to high-starch processing potato varieties, well-established drum-drying capacity, and the food-safety standards expected of EU food manufacturers.

  • Single-ingredient: 100% potato (no additives in standard grade)
  • GMO-free, EU-origin potatoes
  • Long ambient shelf life — no cold-chain required

Grades

Three grades by particle size.

Potato flakes are graded by particle size, which determines their hydration speed and suitability for different end products. All grades share the same composition; granulation is the differentiator. Final spec is agreed per contract and lot.

Coarse / Standard

Standard Flakes

Larger flake particles for instant mash, mash mixes, soup garnishes and applications where visible "flake" texture is desirable in the finished product.

Medium

Medium Flakes

Balanced granulation for general-purpose food manufacturing — formed products, bakery, prepared meals and ready-to-cook lines.

Fine / Granulate

Fine Granulate

Fine particle size for snack manufacturing (fabricated chips/crisps), extruded products, infant food and applications requiring fast, uniform hydration without flake structure.

Packaging & logistics

Built for container freight.

Potato flakes ship in food-industry-standard pack formats from Polish ports. Because flakes are shelf-stable at ambient temperature, no reefer container is required — lowering landed cost relative to fresh or frozen potato product.

  • 25 kg multi-wall paper bags with PE liner — standard food-manufacturing format
  • Big bags (FIBC) — 500–1,000 kg with internal liner for bulk processors
  • Standard origin: Polish container ports (Gdańsk, Gdynia)
  • Container type: 20' or 40' dry container (no reefer required)
  • Transit to Manila/Sydney/Jakarta: ~30–45 days subject to routing
  • Documentation: lot CoA, MSDS, technical data sheet, EU export pack
Quality & documentation

EU food-safety standards.

Polish potato-flakes producers operating in the export market are typically certified to multiple EU and international food-safety standards. Specific certification confirmation will be tied to the contracted lot and supplier.

  • HACCP across production
  • BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (typical)
  • ISO 22000 food-safety management
  • Halal certification available on production-line basis
  • Per-lot Certificate of Analysis
  • EU phytosanitary export documentation as required
